Therapeutic Approach

My Approach

I am driven and passionate about what I do. I am lucky enough to say that I have found my passion and my mission through helping people transform their pain.

I fell in love with my career, not only from a theoretical perspective, but also  from an experiential point of view.

I have studied, practiced and received therapy from different psychotherapeutic schools and I believe they all have a golden nugget which could be explored and practiced thoroughly.

As a therapist I believe in the importance of continuous learning and growing, but theory falls short against experience. That is why going through a therapeutic process myself played a decisive part in my journey. Mental health professionals learn a lot through their own personal process, so did I.

It is important as well to keep oneself grounded, for that I find that is not only necessary, but part of my professional responsibility to constantly supervise my cases with other mental and sexual health professionals, of course, maintaining the required discretion and anonymity.

I believe people are able to integrate their own shadow archetype, their own conflicts and  grow from them. For that, I base my integral, therapeutic work from different psychological schools such as:

Different approaches to psychotherapy

Jungian (Analytical Psychology)

This perspective  works on a deeper, symbolic level of the mind, and is the base of my therapeutic work.

It is the approach that brings together conscious and unconscious parts of the mind in a way which facilitates  transformation and growth for individuals into a wholesome version of oneself. This way of therapy helps understand how one’s own experiences, language, and symbolism can affect the self. It explores as well those assimilated from society and how to heal the roots of the pain.

Systemic Therapy

A therapeutic approach which highlights that is not always a linear reaction (Stimuli-Response), but a circular one as well. For its broad perspective upon events, this approach is one of the best suited schools when working with couples and families. It consists in the implication of the whole system in certain responses (whether they are healthy or not) and this better facilitates the therapeutic process. This type of therapy focuses on Roles and understanding the psychic roles and hierarchies structures.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

One of the most famous schools of psychology, because of its proven effectiveness in a large spectrum of conditions. It is the most used because it is the easiest to measure from a scientific point of view.

Corporal Psychotherapy

Corporal Psychotherapy

A therapeutic approach focused on the body-mind connection. It is a type of bioenergetic therapy aimed to heal the stress that builds up in the body. It works by addressing muscle tension, postural problems, and breathing inhibitions— due to mental and emotional traumas and other past experiences. The corporal psychotherapy is done through verbal therapy, breathwork, various movements and massages, all aimed to emotionally unlock the body.

Bioenergetic Massage and Californian Massage

Both the bioenergetic and Californian massages help patients to release inner, emotional and traumatic tension stored in the body. The therapeutic massages are profound, intense, relaxing and restorative. They work great in combination with the other psychotherapy approaches.

Sexual and Erotic Therapy
(Also with Hypnotherapy)

The purpose of the Sexual and Erotic Therapy is to improve the sexual function and to enhance pleasure. The pleasure is addressed at both levels: mentally or physically.

Sexual therapy also helps people to assess and treat different kind of sexual issues or “dysfunctions”, the most common ones are:

  • Premature ejaculation or delayed ejaculation
  • Anorgasmia (Absence of orgasms)
  • Painful penetrative sex (vaginismus and dyspaurenia)
  • Erectile dysfunction

Through this therapeutic method can be addressed sexual areas including: the sexual desire, sexual orientation, atypical sexual interests, lack of sexual confidence and sexual abuse trauma.

One of the benefits of focusing on enhancing erotism is to be able to enjoy a healthy, pleasurable sexuality without social imposed burdens.
